Indian Screw Tree

A large shrub to small tree found in many parts of tropical Asia. Red to yellow flowers are pollinated by birds of the sunbird family. Pollinators love visiting the tree. Bright green leaves highlight gray bark underneath. Grows as a smaller tree or larger shrub which makes it perfect for a bonsai project. Long twisty pods follow the blooms giving its name “screw tree.”
