Daikon Monowase Radish
An old Japanese favorite. Giant white roots grow to 24 inches long and 3inches wide. Sweet and crisp, perfect for stir fry, steamed or even raw. A staple of Japanese and Korean cuisine. Fast-growing even in cooler climates. Stores well. Harvest after first mild frost without much damage to the root but dont allow them to remain in the ground through hard frost. Sow in both spring and fall but they are better and more delicious as a fall crop.
