• Kyoto Red Carrot Japanese heirloom 100 Seeds

    Kyoto Red Carrot
    Daucus carota

A traditional heirloom grown in the Kyoto area of Japan, this carrot is known for it's beautiful vibrant red color that's complimented by a delightfully sweet taste. Kyoto red can grow up to a foot long, with the deep red color appearing at 3 inches.

Did you know? The sweet flavor makes this perfect for carrot juice!

Carrots grow best in cool weather, and it's preferable to sow these in Spring, or late Summer for Fall harvesting. Make sure to prepare the soil beforehand, and plant them in a nice, sunny environment. To prevent splitting, carrots need to be kept moist.
