• Merope angulate Mangrove Lime 5 Rare Seeds

    Merope angulate
    Mangrove Lime

This very rare plant looks much like a small lime tree. The tree has thorns prompting the name 'lelang' in Malaysia which refers to the talons of the hawk describing the look of the branches. Makes a good container specimen. Leaves are aromatic when crushed, giving off a citrus scent. Lovely scented, small white flowers occasionally bloom.
The small size of this tropical tree makes it an ideal species for bonsai.

    Fun Facts:

    1. Previously known as Paramignya longispina
    2. An endangered plant of Singapore
    3. Often found among Mangrove trees

Adaptable to most soil conditions, and gardening types, specimen plantings, deck gardens as well as tropicals
