A really nice ornamental species of pine characterized by a trunk that grows straight to sometimes crooked and irregular. Needles are short and yellow to green in color giving it a distinguished appearance accented by reddish- brown bark. Popular as a specimen tree and grown almost everywhere. Tolerant of poor soil. A perfect bonsai specimen!
This tree makes a most interesting deck plant and also grows well as a container plant for the home or greenhouse in addition to being a specimen plant.
