This popular ornamental is characterized by reddish bark and rough trunks and dark green evergreen needles forming a very distinguished, elegant look. The trunks tend to grow crooked, giving it an ornamental character, making it one of the most popular specimens for Bonsai. Bright green needles are accent by purple tinted cones.
A really nice ornamental! This tree makes a most interesting deck plant and also grows well as a container plant for the home or greenhouse in addition to being a specimen plant.
