Pinus parviflora Japanese Five Needle Pine 5 Seeds
Japanese Five Needle Pine
Japanese White Pine
This tree makes a great specimen for any landscape. A spreading, irregular form and dense crown, in addition to slow growth, make it perfect for container growing as well as bonsai. The 1 to 2.5-inch-long needles are twisted, forming blue-green tufts of foliage at the branch tips giving it a fine texture to the silhouette. Like full sun and most soil types. Salt tolerant.
• Native to Korea and Japan
• Introduced in 1861
• Pines are one of the most diverse groups of evergreen conifers with over 90 species distributed throughout the Northern Hemisphere
• All species of pine are grown from seed
