A traditional butterhead lettuce known as All the Year Round. Medium-sized heads loosely form with soft, textured green leaves and compact, solid crisp hearts. A hardy, reliable slow to bolt plant even when weather is hot. Grows well in most areas of the US and is terrific for Spring and Fall plantings. Tolerates colder weather. As the name implies this variety can be sown in most locations from about March through August to harvest April to October for a nearly "year-round" harvest. In cold zones this lettuce can be grown in the greenhouse or under covers for overwintering for an early spring harvest.
