Grown as one of the tropical worlds most valuable timber trees for its excellent, hardwood, insect resistant, dark red-brown wood, mostly now cultivated in India and Indonesia. A perfect ornamental shade tree for the warm climates. This multi-use plant is slow growing which makes it a terrific bonsai specimen or tropical. Smaller forest green leaves are accented by white flower clusters.
