Mottled Ebony

Delicate yellow-green flowers burst from the tips of the smooth, gray stems crowded with narrow leaves and accented with small, round green fruits turning red-brown when ripe. This species is a medium sized deciduous tree, growing up to 24 meters and found throughout India. In its natural habitat seedlings germinate early in the rainy season and require shade, as direct sunlight can kill the seedlings.
