Nestled among bright yellow flower is a unique small, round gourd that grows to about 4 ounces. Light green balls fruit among 4 foot vines. Flowering begins in about 30 days from setting out and fruit can be picked 3 weeks later. The tinda is mainly grown for its immature fruit especially popular in South Asia.
Seeds can be roasted and eaten and is very popular in Indian and Pakistani cooking with curry among other gourmet dishes. Very Productive!
