Little Gem is an excellent salad lettuce with a sweet succulent flavor perfect for any salad plate. A delicious addition to any lettuce garden, especially if you have limited space. Small, solid heads reach about 4" across and are perfect for eating when 4-6" tall. Resistant to root aphid and was a an AGM award winner in 1993 and 2007
When harvesting, be sure the lettuce leaves are at least three inches in length. Start with the outer layer to encourage growth. The perfect lettuce variety to blend with other salad greens and beautiful in presentations as well as in sandwiches.
