An old time favorite with trumpet shaped flowers burst forth in a lovely pink color about 4 in the afternoon giving this unique plant its namesake. This versatile plant can be direct sown in the flower bed, deck garden or containers and pots.

Fun Facts:

1. Mirabilis means "wonderful" in Latin
2.The Aztecs cultivated this plant and used the flowers as a dye
3. Exported from Peru in 1540
4. Different colors of flowers grow on the same plant
5. Can be a perennial in warm regions

Treat as a tropical that cannot tolerate frost
