Snake Gourd

This tropical gourd is unmatched in beauty when in bloom. Dark green, lobed leaves are accented by white, star shaped flowers with long white tendrils that wind around itself, followed by long snake like fruit. This fruit can grow as long as 7 feet and starts out with green stripped colors. Perfect for trellis gardening or ground cover. Often used in South Asian cuisines.

Flowers from April to May. Grow as an annual in most regions. Start and grow, culturally, like a cucumber.
