Cultivated for its large bright yellow flowers and is related to the African tulip tree. Named in the honor of botanist Clements Markham (1830-1916). This evergreen tropical is a perfect multi purpose, small to medium tree grown for its ornamental value. Yellow blooms peek out from forest green foliage. 
 
 This tropical beauty is a vigorous, fast growing plant perfect for the deck as well as greenhouse. Growing height will depend on culture, with potted plants remaining much smaller. A truly unique ornamental especially for plant collectors and bonsai artists.
