A vitamin rich and flavorful, leafy heirloom vegetable used much like lettuce. Light frost will imrove the flavor making this the perfect green to grow into late fall and early winter. Blue curly leaves will add color and richness to any plate. Grows to about 2.5 feet Good for cooking greens or bunching. Use for salads and light cooking, sauteed and roasted. A true classic flavor! Can be blanched and frozen.

Sowing instructions: Sow indoors in flats or small pots and keep warm. Transplant in early spring in a well prepared seed bed. Water well before germination then water as needed. Optimum soil temperature is 55-75 degrees F.
Plant Care: For the biggest yields place plants in raised composted beds. Water regularly.
